Sadly, R&D&Co has ceased trading. We'd like to thank all our clients over the past five years who have allowed us to do such interesting and exciting projects. In particular though, we'd like to thank our designers - Eric Au, Nahim Afzal, Dave Brown, James Harvey, Natalie Bullard, Anthony Smith and Anoushka Jahangiri - for producing such fantastic work for us.

Ebookers

Travelling DNA

ebookers plc owned three travel brands, ebookers.com, Travelbag and Bridge the World. Each one occupied a different territory: ebookers.com catered for the mass-market, Travelbag offered long-haul travel and Bridge the World’s customers were seeking tailor-made holidays.

Common ground

Prior to being acquired, ebookers plc wanted to bring these three brands closer together to embrace the spirit of the customer’s journey. The combined offering gave the customer the widest choice, the clearest guidance and the best prices to enable them to create the holidays of their dreams. But what was it that united these three distinctive brands?

Rallying cry

We united them under the banner “Born to Travel”. This expression neatly and succinctly sums up the passion and commitment of their knowledgable staff. It also enabled us to manage the relationships and expectations of their intensely loyal customers and employees who are equally passionate and committed. We created a framework that allowed each brand to continue its positive dialogue with their customers as well as building equity in the ebookers masterbrand.

Profitable business

ebookers plc was acquired by Cendant for $350 million in 2005.
